2023. Conveyor raises $12.5M to automate security reviews using LLMs

The typical method of vendor's security review involves extensive questionnaires, encompassing a wide range of topics from privacy policies to physical data center security. Completing these questionnaires can be a time-consuming process, taking anywhere from days to weeks for vendors to respond. Addressing this issue, Conveyor, a startup dedicated to simplifying this procedure, has secured $12.5 million in Series A funding. The company is developing a platform that utilizes advanced language models similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT to generate detailed responses to security inquiries in the original questionnaire format. Conveyor offers two complementary solutions. The first is a user-friendly portal that enables companies to share security documents and frequently asked compliance questions with potential clients and customers. The second is an AI-powered system, leveraging language models from OpenAI and other sources, capable of comprehending the format of security questionnaires, whether in spreadsheets or online portals, and automatically populating the required information.

2021. Momentum announces $5M seed to automate sales tasks in Slack

The early-stage startup Momentum has secured $5 million in seed funding with the aim of serving as the automated collaboration layer between sales teams and the rest of the organization. In order to facilitate effective collaboration, salespeople require connectivity not only with platforms like Slack and Salesforce but also with tools such as Google Calendar, Asana, and Jira. Momentum simplifies this process by enabling users to automate follow-ups and streamline their interactions from a single platform. For instance, instead of navigating Jira to file a ticket for the security team, sales reps can simply use Momentum to request a security review. Momentum has codified the process of identifying the appropriate destination, creating the ticket, and providing all relevant deal context within that ticket. This eliminates the need for manual intervention by the sales rep at that stage.
