AppLovin, the marketing software provider, has acquired Twitter's mobile ad platform, MoPub, for $1.05 billion in cash. Despite MoPub contributing approximately $188 million in annual revenue to Twitter in 2020, the social media giant has decided to focus on other areas of its business due to accelerated product development and greater potential.
